Training and Development Manager, Jane Whitten, is enjoying attending the Leadership Masterclasses Series as an opportunity to develop her management skills and meet likeminded leaders.

Jane joined Ramsay at St George Private Hospital as the Grad plus Coordinator six years ago, then moved into a Learning and Development Manager role. After accepting the role as the Maternity Unit Manager at Kareena Private, an opportunity to re-join education arose and Jane moved to the Role of Training and Development Manager.

Jane is now responsible for providing education to the whole hospital and working with the education team to ensure all mandatory training is up-to-date.

“Working in education is very rewarding and it’s always great to see employees progress, grow and develop. It’s great to see people challenge themselves and to help them grow in their roles,” said Jane.

During her time at Ramsay Jane has taken advantage of development opportunities, completing a Graduate Certificate in Clinical Nursing and Teaching at UTAS and now attending the Leadership Masterclass Series.

Jane said the Masterclasses are relevant for any role or level within the business.

“The masterclasses are very relatable and provide you with a great skill set to improve your management skills.”

Like many leaders, Jane is also enjoying the networking that occurs during sessions.

“I have really enjoyed hearing the experiences of other managers and learning how they have managed similar situations through the group discussions.”

Ramsay’s Leadership Masterclass Series is for all leaders excluding NUMs/MUMs.
